Salvera
This handcrafted chess set combines the natural grain of ash wood with black epoxy resin. The contrast between the wooden and black squares draws on traditional chessboard design, while the glossy finish and transparent pieces give it a modern appearance.
The chessboard measures 40 × 40 × 4 cm. The alternating wood and resin squares extend down the sides, highlighting the thickness of the board. Black and clear transparent pieces feature classic, easily recognisable shapes. The king measures 10.5 cm in height. A Chess by Jass nameplate is fitted to the side of the board.
All pieces are made from epoxy resin. The set includes 32 chess pieces and 10 additional spare pieces. Four protective fabric bags are also included for storing the board and pieces.
