What Can You Choose?

Every custom chess set is created according to your individual preferences.

You can choose:

• a chess set made entirely from epoxy resin,
• a combination of wood and epoxy resin,
• the wood species,
• the dimensions and thickness of the chessboard,
• the color and appearance of the chess pieces,
• pigments, color pastes and transparent resin dyes,
• dried flowers, decorative elements or other individual details upon request.

Unusual decorations, special components or technically demanding modifications may affect the final price. All details and costs will always be discussed and approved with you in advance.

 

How Does the Custom-Made Process Work?

1. Tell Us About Your Idea

Let us know which materials, dimensions, colors or overall style appeal to you. If you are unsure, a few basic details or an inspiration photo are enough to get started.

 

2. We Refine the Design Together

We will help you select a suitable combination of materials, colors, pigments and other details. At this stage, we will also confirm the production options and final price.

 

3. You Approve the Final Design

Before production begins, we will confirm the final design, dimensions, price and estimated completion date with you.

 

4. Handcrafting Begins

Production begins after the final design has been approved and payment has been received.

The usual production and delivery time is 4–6 weeks.

 

Choose Your Color Finish

The color finish is one of the most distinctive features of your custom chess set. You can choose from transparent resin dyes, opaque color pastes, effect pigments and other decorative elements.

• Transparent Resin Dyes

Transparent dyes preserve the clarity and visual depth of the epoxy resin. Light can partially pass through the material, creating a light and elegant appearance.

• Color Pastes

Color pastes create rich, opaque shades. They are ideal for bold color combinations and can be paired with a neutral color to maintain clear contrast across the chessboard.

• Effect Pigments

Effect pigments can give the resin a pearlescent, metallic, shimmering or other distinctive finish, depending on the currently available selection.

 

 

• Dried Flowers and Other Decorations

Dried flowers, decorative flakes, small stones and other suitable elements can be embedded in the epoxy resin upon request.

If you have your own flowers or a small symbol that you would like to incorporate into the chess set, please contact us. We will first assess whether the material is suitable for embedding in epoxy resin.

 

  

The color samples are intended as a guide. The final shade and distribution of pigments may vary slightly depending on the materials used, lighting and the handcrafted production process. These natural variations make every chess set unique.

 

 

Personalization

Your custom chess set can be personalized with a name, initials, date, short text, numbers or a simple symbol.

Personalization may contain up to 15 characters and is available in black, white, gold or silver. Its exact placement and appearance will always be adapted to the chosen design.

Personalization is available for transparent or clear epoxy resin finishes. It may not be technically possible with completely opaque finishes created using color pastes.

Basic personalization is included in the price of your custom chess set.

A handcrafted chess set made entirely from epoxy resin offers a wide range of color combinations, transparent shades, opaque color pastes and effect pigments.

Each set includes one chessboard and a complete set of 32 chess pieces.

Wood and Epoxy Resin Chess Set

The combination of natural wood and epoxy resin creates a distinctive chess set that highlights both the natural wood grain and your chosen resin color.

 

You can choose from three chessboard thicknesses.

The playing surface measures 40 × 40 cm for all three options.

Each set includes one chessboard and a complete set of 32 chess pieces.

The chess pieces are the same size for all listed options. King height: 10.5 cm.

 

The photograph shows chessboards handcrafted from ash wood and transparent colored epoxy resin in thicknesses of 2, 3 and 4 cm.

 

Choose Your Wood

We offer three wood species for our wood and epoxy resin chess sets. Each has its own distinctive color, grain and overall character.

Every piece of wood has a unique natural grain. The appearance of your custom chess set may therefore naturally differ from the examples shown.

Unusual decorations, special components or other individual requirements will be priced separately and confirmed before production begins.
