Gonzales

Gonzales

This handcrafted chess set Gonzales combines the natural grain of ash wood with transparent green epoxy resin. The wooden squares create a warm, natural contrast with the clear green resin, whose tones and reflections change with the light.

The chessboard measures 40 × 40 × 4 cm. The alternating wood and resin squares extend down the sides, revealing the depth of the transparent sections. White and transparent green pieces feature classic, easily recognisable shapes. The king measures 10.5 cm in height.

All pieces are made from epoxy resin. The set includes 32 playing pieces and 10 additional spare pieces – 5 white and 5 transparent green. Each colour includes a spare queen, pawn, rook, knight and bishop.
